The mission of Arts on the Allegheny is to entertain, educate and enrich the cultural life of western Pennsylvania by presenting quality performers and artists at the Kittanning Riverfront Park and other venues.Arts on the Allegheny is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization initiated by Kittanning Borough Council in 2007. The Murtha Amphitheater is one of the most beautiful venues in western Pennsylvania, as it overlooks the Allegheny River and the historic Kittanning Citizens’ Bridge. The amphitheater is accessible by boat, and the performances will attract a broad spectrum of audiences from all over western Pennsylvania. The mission of Arts on the Allegheny will enhance efforts to develop the economy of the borough, county and region.
In our premier season, we will host three major events which will attract a wide variety of audiences and serve as a platform to launch a broader range of music, film and art in years to come.
All events will be free to the public, adding a sense of community and highlighting the charms and potential of Kittanning and Armstrong County. Please step forward and support Arts on the Allegheny financially. Together we will make our community a better place to live and work.
